About the desk
AI News.tech is a text-first record of the AI era. The premise is simple: the models, the money and the rules are all moving at once, and most coverage buries the actual news under video, newsletters and hot takes. We publish short briefs the day things happen and keep them linked to primary sources.
How we source
Every brief ends with a source list, and the links go to what was actually published: official blogs, wire reports, courtrooms and filings. When a figure comes from launch coverage or an aggregator rather than an official page, it carries an asterisk. We do not publish numbers we cannot trace, and estimates are labeled as estimates.
The Model Desk methodology
The desk lists models that are current and publicly accessible as of October 16, 2026. Prices are official list prices in USD per million tokens; cache pricing, batch tiers and volume discounts are omitted for comparability. Context windows are as published by the vendor. n/a means not disclosed at press time. A model being absent from the desk is a statement about disclosure, not about quality.
