Google puts Gemini 4 Argon in every developer's hands
After a two-week phased rollout through the Fairwind Program, the cyber-defense flagship is open to paid API customers at $2 per million input tokens.
Google released Gemini 4 Argon to paid API customers and Google AI Ultra subscribers on Monday, ending a two-week phased rollout through its Fairwind Program for trusted cyber defenders. The model was announced September 30.
Argon launches at an introductory $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output, with cached input at 95% off. Google raised the output limit to an industry-leading 1 million tokens, up from 64,000, which the company says lets the model sustain deep reasoning across long-horizon work in one pass.
Google's published numbers: state of the art on DeepSWE v1.1 at 77.9%, first on Zapier's AutomationBench at 51.3%, first on long-video understanding at 91.7% on LVBench, and a tie for first on CWE-bench v1 at 68% for vulnerability remediation. In one early deployment through Wiz's Scan for Good, Google says Argon surfaced a critical exposure in hospital software that earlier frontier models had missed.
